Coupes Still Fail!

Some of you may have heard the buzz. But I have a coupe?! Yeah it's true, I ran out of money building the JZX90 for competition and the only way I would be able to compete this year was by taking up someones trade offer for a fully built S13 drift car.

Don't worry I will be back into a sedan as soon as funds allow me to be! For now here is a video of me competing in XDC over the weekend. Finished 11th overall and only had the car for 6 days prior. To top it off I haven't really drifted in a year!

Not making XDC at FIR

This build has been littered with financial hurdles. Looks like it's time to start thinking about next season!

Dyno Day

17-20psi. boost was fluctuating a lot here. wastegates never opened (28psi spring) so there is lots of back pressure robbing top end power. hot side (1.0A/R) is too big for the 1J and wont spool it completely. Funny thing is the single 35mm gate that would fly open at 18psi would then creep to 26psi net me 502hp and quicker spool by allowing the engine to breath. Wish I had that run on file.

Still not bad for a stock 1j from valve covers to oil pan, even a stock clutch :D
